Spokane REALTORS® Endorse Spokane Co Commissioner Candidates

The Board of Directors of the Spokane Association of REALTORS® has endorsed candidates for the local Spokane County Commissioner races for 2022. Washington lawmakers expanded Spokane’s county districts to five, resulting in an election for every newly formed district. One key change for 2022, is that Commissioners will be elected solely on the voters within their district.

Chris Jordan Spokane Co Dist 1

Newcomber Chris Jordan has been endorsed in the newly formed Spokane County District 1. A fourth generation Spokanite, Jordan has specialized in child safety cases with the Washington State Attorney General’s Office in Spokane, where he serves as a Managing Assistant Attorney General. His father is REALTOR® Jeff Jordan with Professional Realty Services.

Michael Cathcart Spokane Co Dist 2

Spokane City Council member Michael Cathcart is running in the newly formed Spokane County District 2. He has served as a REALTOR® Champion on the Spokane City Council. Previously, he worked with the Spokane Homebuilder’s Association.

Spokane County Commissioner Josh Kerns has been a strong voice for REALTORS® since his election in 2016. He is running for re-election in the newly formed Spokane County District 3.

Comm. Mary Kuney Spokane Co Dist 4

Spokane County Commissioner Mary Kuney, a Spokane native has been an advocate for housing initiatives since she joined the County Commission in 2017. A graduate from Central Valley High School and then from Gonzaga University with a degree in Accounting, Kuney previously served as the Chief Deputy Auditor for Spokane County.

Spokane County Commissioner Al French has been one of the strongest advocates for housing issues since his election to the Spokane City Council in 2002. With more than 30 years experience as a successful businessman, architect, investment consultant, and developer in the Spokane region, he has served on the commission since 2009.
